WRITING:
Monday:
Do Proper Adjective worksheet
Writing:  Almost all kids love tree forts or treehouses.  Think of an amazing treehouse or tree fort that you have made, that someone else has made, or one that you imagine.  Write a story telling about a treehouse or tree fort.  Describe what it is made of, how many rooms it has and what they are like, what is in each room, who is in the tree fort, and what you do in the fort.  It can be about a real treehouse/fort or an imaginary one.  The story should be at least five paragraphs long.  Make sure to capitalize the first letter of each sentence and each proper noun and adjective.  End each sentence with an endmark and use proper punctuation.  Make sure to spell each word correctly.  Use descriptive words, not tired words.  Indent each paragraph.  Have a clear introduction and ending.
Tuesday:
Correct Monday's work.
Writing:  You are hiking in the forest with your family.  You leave them and go off trail to explore.  You get lost and can't find your family.  It gets dark, but you see a light a long ways away.  Write a five paragraph story about your experience.  Indent each paragraph.  Begin each sentence with a capital letter.  Capitalize correctly, check spelling, check punctuation.  Use at least one simile and one example of personification.  Use other words instead of "walk" and "saw".
Wednesday:
Do:  Paragraph editing exercise
Writing:  Revise Tuesday's story.
Thursday:
Turn in final draft of Tuesday's story.
