Bible:
Monday:
1.  Hand out memory verse.  Have students glue it in their day planners.

2.  Read and discuss lesson 10 in Bible packet.  Do all the activities for lesson 10.

     - What causes "pink eye"?  What are the symptoms of "pink eye"?  What is the medical term for "pink eye"?  How are bacterial and viral "pink eye" treated?  What can you do to keep "pink eye" from spreading?
2.  Review parts of the eye - sclera, cornea, pupil, iris, lens, retina, optic nerve, ciliary muscle.  (p. 4)

Read and discuss pages 23-26 about glasses and contacts.  How does the eye work?  What is refraction?  What is the difference between being nearsighted and farsighted?  What is astigmatism?  How do glasses or contacts help people sea better?  What is the difference between an ophthalmologist, an optometrist, and an optician? 
Friday:
Read and discuss pages 27-28 about strabismus.  What is strabismus?  Are there different kinds of strabismus?  What is the difference between a cross-eyed person and a wall-eyed person?  What is a common term for amblyopia?  What might a doctor do if you have strabismus?
Monday:
Read and discuss pages 29-31 about Fun Facts About the Eye.  What was the most interesting fact for you?  Was there a fact you didn't know about before?  Complete the assignments at the end of the booklet.

Social Studies:  Read and discuss pages 286-291.  Have students take notes about the following terms, people, and places (the blue words):  assembly, town meeting, militia, delegate, Thomas Jefferson, Richard Henry Lee, John Adams, John Peter Zenger, Phillis Wheatley, Williamsburg, Mayflower Compact, Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, Maryland Toleration Act, Pennsylvania Frame of Government, Virginia House of Burgesses, who could be elected to serve in the colonial assemblies?  Who could not be elected?  What were the major duties of the colonial assemblies?
